Leading European marketplace, hosting 20,000 global online retailers with 17m unique monthly visitors. It allows customers to compare prices and product features, check the feedback about the store and then make a purchase. This marketplace collaborates both with offline and online retailers, with small and large e-commerce websites.


With over 2500 product categories ranging from car parts to clothes to electronics the challenge was to overcome complications in delivery structure to support excellence in supply chain and customer service. The biggest need was optimisation of fulfilment centre locations and last-mile delivery structure through local agencies.


Using Greenfield analysis we mapped potential locations of distribution centres and structured future delivery routes. Based on this new platform of DC locations & optimised delivery mapping, our team completed full-scope analysis on several scenarios to define the best possible locations of each DC to achieve highly effective last-mile delivery.


Client was presented with 5-year supply chain development strategy, including locations of future distribution centres network and coverage to optimise last-mile delivery through local agencies and achieve excellent customer service for each retailer as a result.
